AI on shifts and temps. Names stay in the EU.
Fill the rota, check timesheets and find the right temp faster. GoalCube hides names, phone numbers and ID numbers before the AI sees them – and when the AI suggests who gets more shifts, a human decides.
- The rota in minutesThe AI proposes a rota from requests and skills. You approve.
- Fair shift allocationWho gets shifts is a decision about a person. A planner makes it.
- Error-free timesheetsThe AI spots anomalies – without seeing who the temp is.

What can you use AI for?
Choose a task. GoalCube works out the risk under the EU AI Act with fixed rules and tells you what to do.
Low risk when the planner approves the rota. GoalCube hides names and numbers.
Allocating tasks based on personal traits or behaviour is listed in Annex III of the EU AI Act. A human decides.
Low risk. The AI flags anomalies; a staff member corrects them.
Assessing a person needs a human, a reason and access for the temp (Articles 15 and 22 GDPR).
The example is simplified. In GoalCube you answer a few questions, and the classification follows fixed rules.
What the law says
Temps are covered too
The EU AI Act talks about workers broadly. Allocating shifts and assessing temps are decisions in a work relationship.
Annex III, point 4(b), AI Act
Agency and client both carry responsibility
The staffing agency and the business where the temp works may both process the temp's data – and both must be able to explain what the AI is used for.
Articles 24 and 26 GDPR
ID numbers don't belong in the AI
PPS and other ID numbers are needed for payroll, not for a rota. GoalCube replaces them with a code.
Article 87 GDPR
Short and simplified. GoalCube helps you follow the rules; it is not legal advice.
Who gets extra shifts? A planner decides.
The AI has suggested who should get December's open shifts. The planner decides on each temp and gives the reason.

Questions and answers
Is an AI-built rota high-risk?
Not necessarily. A proposal that a planner approves is low risk. But if you use AI to decide who gets shifts based on behaviour or personal traits, it's high-risk under Annex III of the EU AI Act.
Who's responsible – the agency or us?
Usually you both are, for the data you each use. Agree in the contract who does what, and record your own AI use in your AI inventory.
Can AI assess freelancers?
A freelancer is a person too. If you use AI to assess or select freelancers, a human must decide, and the freelancer must be able to find out what was taken into account.
