What can you use AI for?

The name and phone number of an emergency contact are personal data about someone who doesn't work for you. They have the same rights as your staff.

Questions and answers
Can we keep emergency contacts for our staff?
Yes, it's common and has a clear purpose. Ask only for what you need (name, relationship, phone), and use it only in an emergency.
Do next of kin need to know we have their number?
Yes, as a rule. The easiest way: the employee passes on a short note from you when they give you the contact.
Why hide next of kin from the AI?
Because the AI doesn't need to know who they are to build a plan. That's data minimisation – and it keeps the names in the EU.
