What the law says
People on site are data subjects
Names, ID cards and tickets of the subcontractor's workers are personal data that you're responsible for too.
Articles 4 and 24 GDPR
Cameras need care
CCTV covering workers needs signs and a legitimate purpose; AI analysis of people can be high-risk.
Articles 6 and 13 GDPR; EDPB Guidelines 3/2019 on video devices; Annex III, point 4, AI Act
Quote prices are confidential
Other companies' quote prices mustn't be passed on – not even to an AI that may use them.
Trade Secrets Directive (EU) 2016/943; Article 21 Directive 2014/24/EU (public procurement)
Short and simplified. GoalCube helps you follow the rules; it is not legal advice.

Questions and answers
Are subcontractors' workers our responsibility?
When you process data about them, such as site passes and tickets, you're the controller for that processing.
Can the AI compare quotes without seeing the prices?
The AI needs the figures to compare, but not who submitted the quote. GoalCube hides company names and your project names.
Can we use AI on site cameras?
It needs a legitimate purpose, signs and careful thought. If AI is used to assess people, it can be high-risk, and emotion recognition is banned.
