AI in care. Residents' names and health stay in the EU.
Less time at the screen, more time with residents. GoalCube lets the AI draft handovers and letters, while names, ID numbers and next of kin stay with you – and health details never sit next to a name in the AI.
- Faster handoversThe AI pulls together the shift's notes. Staff check them.
- Health kept apart from namesThe AI sees [PERSON_1] – never who the resident is.
- People decide the careThe AI never suggests treatment. Professionals do.

What can you use AI for?
Choose a task. GoalCube works out the risk under the EU AI Act with fixed rules and tells you what to do.
Health data (Article 9 GDPR). Only without names and ID numbers, and staff check the text.
Low risk when names are added on your side and a member of staff sends it.
May be a medical device or high-risk AI. A professional must always assess.
Needs a specific legal basis, consent and a DPIA. Staff must not be monitored for emotions (Article 5 AI Act).
The example is simplified. In GoalCube you answer a few questions, and the classification follows fixed rules.
What the law says
Health is special category data
Information about illness, care and medication is sensitive and may only be used for the care itself.
Article 9(2)(h) GDPR
Professional secrecy
Staff are bound by professional secrecy. Information must not go to an AI provider without a legal basis – use pseudonyms.
Article 9(3) GDPR; national rules on professional secrecy
Impact assessment
Systematic use of AI on health data about vulnerable people normally needs a data protection impact assessment (DPIA).
Article 35 GDPR
Short and simplified. GoalCube helps you follow the rules; it is not legal advice.
Your staff keep working. GoalCube keeps track of the rest.

Questions and answers
Can care staff use AI for documentation?
It can be done with a business plan, a data processing agreement (DPA), pseudonymisation and a DPIA. Staff must always check the text before it's used.
Is it a breach of professional secrecy?
It can be, if names and health data are sent to a provider without a legal basis. With GoalCube the AI only sees codes – but talk to your management about your specific use.
Can the AI predict who will fall?
That's a clinical assessment, and the tool may count as a medical device or high-risk AI. Don't use an ordinary chatbot for it.
