Decide cases about people – one at a time
Short answer
Press "Decide" on Tasks, under People decisions or in the AI's window. You see one case at a time: the facts of the case with the real names, and the AI's recommendation with its reasoning. Choose "Follow the recommendation", "Different decision" (with a reason) or "Missing information". If you spend less than 10 seconds on a case, GoalCube asks whether you want to view it again. At the end you see all the decisions together, confirm that you have assessed them yourself and save – with a passkey, if you use one. The decisions cannot be changed afterwards, and the employee types "continue" in the chat.

All steps (15)
- When the AI has recommended something about people, it appears at the top under Tasks. Press "Decide".
- You see one case at a time: the facts of the case on the left and the AI's recommendation on the right. If you agree, choose "Follow the recommendation".
- Press "Next →" to go to the next case.
- If you spent very little time on the case, GoalCube asks whether you want to look at it again, so you are sure you assessed it yourself. Press "No, I am done" when you are done.
- If you disagree with the AI, choose "Different decision".
- Write what should happen instead.
- Write a reason that can be given to the person. It must be at least one full sentence.
- Press "Next →".
- If you need more information to decide the case, choose "Missing information".
- Write what is missing. The case comes back once the AI has found the information.
- Press "Next →" to see all your decisions together.
- Check the overview. Then enter your initials.
- Confirm that you assessed the cases yourself.
- Press "Save the decisions".
- The decisions are saved and cannot be changed afterwards. Type "continue" in the chat, and the AI will follow your decisions.
If you move quickly
If you spend less than 10 seconds on a case, GoalCube asks: "You have spent … seconds on the case. Do you want to see it again?" Press Yes, view the case again or No, I am done. It is only a question, not an error. It helps you assess the case yourself rather than simply following the AI.
What happens afterwards
- The decisions are saved in the audit log with the assessment time, a fingerprint and an independent timestamp.
- The employee types "continue" in the chat. The AI fetches the decision and follows it for each person – it never changes it.
- Cases marked "Missing information" come back as a new round once the AI has found the information.
All decisions
Under People decisions in the menu you find all cases – those waiting and those decided. People decisions is included in the Personal data + People decisions plan. Without it, you can see an example of a decision with fictitious data.

Why does it work this way?
A decision with a significant effect on a person must not be based solely on automated processing (Art. 22 GDPR), and high-risk AI requires human oversight (Art. 14 and 26 AI Act). Read more in How do we show that a person made the decision?
