Tasks: everything that needs a person, in one place
Short answer
Tasks is the first page in the menu and the page GoalCube opens on. It shows only what is waiting for a person, in two groups: "Waiting for you" (confirm a use or decide cases) and "Review" (what GoalCube has handled, for example low-risk use approved automatically). At the bottom is one line about AI use: how many of the points are ready for the regulator, and how many tasks are waiting when you have time. Those tasks are under AI use. The number by Tasks in the menu shows how many things are waiting.
What it looks like
This is the real system with fictitious data. Try the walkthroughs in the articles to click through.
At the top it says how many things are waiting for you and roughly how long it will take. If you are new, Get started is also on the page until the set-up is done.
Two groups
Tasks shows only what is waiting for a person – in every plan.
| Group | What is there | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting for you | The AI or a colleague is waiting for you: a new use of AI to be confirmed, or cases about people to be decided. Marked with a red edge. | Press Confirm or Decide. See Confirm a new use and Decide cases. |
| Review | What GoalCube has handled and you need to check: low-risk use approved automatically, unrecorded use of AI, rule changes, texts in data that look like instructions to the AI, datasets that will soon be deleted, and users who have not used GoalCube for 90 days. | Read the item. Press Looks fine, or the button next to the item, for example Correct the answers, Record or Extend. |
If you press Looks fine by mistake, you can undo it for 10 seconds.
When nothing is waiting, it says All done.
The AI use line
Once Get started is done, there is one line at the bottom about your use of AI, for example AI use: 4 of 6 ready for the regulator · 3 tasks when you have time. Press See what is missing to go to the "Missing" section under AI use.
That is where you find what is missing to be ready for the regulator: the policy, the course, the annual review and the legal requirements you handle yourselves. None of it is urgent today, which is why it is not on Tasks.
Try it
Tap the highlighted field or use Next.
Under "Review" you find low-risk uses that GoalCube has approved according to your rules. Read the items. You can press "Looks fine" next to each item or mark them all at once with "Everything approved looks fine".
How often?
Once a week is enough for most people. If you have Personal data or People decisions, administrators get a short email every Monday morning about what is waiting. See The Monday email. Anything urgent, for example a case an employee is waiting on, you can handle straight away from the link in the AI's window.
Want to see what GoalCube does?
At the bottom of the menu is How GoalCube works. In 30 seconds, the page shows what you see and what the AI sees, using GoalCube's fictitious example data. See How GoalCube works.
