How to

Make and adopt your AI policy

For: The person in chargeTakes 10 min.Last updated

Short answer

GoalCube writes the AI policy from a fixed template and your AI inventory. You enter the company name, the role of the person responsible and the approved AI tools – or ask the AI for a draft. Add your own sections if you like, and adopt the policy with your initials. An adopted policy is locked; changes are made as a new version.

All steps (4)
  1. GoalCube has written a draft based on your AI inventory. Read it through and enter your initials.

  3. Press "Adopt the policy".
  4. The policy is adopted and locked. If you change anything, you make a new version.

What you need to enter

What it looks like: AI policy (draft)Fictitious data
A draft with your inventory merged in.
  • The company name.
  • The role of the person responsible, for example "the HR manager" – not a name, so the policy still fits if the person changes job.
  • The approved AI tools, for example "Microsoft 365 Copilot". See AI providers to choose.

GoalCube writes the rest from your inventory, such as which uses of AI you have and which requirements apply.

Your own sections

Press + Add section on the draft. Your own sections come before "Responsibility and follow-up" and are marked "not reviewed by GoalCube". They carry over when you make a new version.

When the inventory changes

If you have a new use of AI, the policy shows it, and you can make a new version with one click. The old version applies until the new one is adopted. GoalCube reminds you to review the policy once a year; see Yearly review.
