Connect GoalCube to ChatGPT

For: The administratorTakes 10 min.Last updated

Short answer

An administrator switches on custom connectors in ChatGPT (developer mode) and adds GoalCube as an app using your connector address. ChatGPT does not read GoalCube's rules by itself, so GoalCube's standard instruction must be pasted into your ChatGPT customisation, for example in the project or workspace instructions.

Status for ChatGPT

Tested with GoalCube. An administrator switches on custom connectors (developer mode), and GoalCube is added as an app.

ChatGPT does not read GoalCube's own instructions, so they must go into your ChatGPT customisation (e.g. in the project or workspace instructions).

How to do it

  1. Switch on custom connectors. In ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, an administrator switches on developer mode so the workspace can use custom connectors.
  2. Add GoalCube as an app. Open Settings > Connect AI in GoalCube, choose ChatGPT and copy the address (https://app.goalcube.eu/mcp). There is no key in the address; access is given by logging in.
  3. Paste in the standard instruction. Press Copy the instruction on the same page and paste it into your project or workspace instructions. The text is also in GoalCube's standard instruction.
  4. Log in and give access. Your AI opens GoalCube. Log in with your passkey and check the company and "The answer is sent to" (for example chatgpt.com). Press Give access. Only give access if you have just started the connection yourself.
  5. Try it. Type "Open GoalCube Personal data" in a new chat.

Why ChatGPT needs the instruction

Claude reads the rules that GoalCube sends with the connector. ChatGPT did not do that when we tested it. Without the instruction, ChatGPT does not know that it must fetch data from GoalCube, save the answer there and leave decisions about people to a person.
